Eagle Optics Triumph (10x25) Binocular - Can it really be that Eagle Optics has designed a 'reverse porro' compact binocular with a good apparent viewing angle and good eye relief for eyeglass/sunglass users? It appears so. Porro prism compacts, with their objective side being narrower than the eyepiece end, are quite popular because their brightness and sharpness exceeds all but the very best of comparable roof prism units with objective lenses smaller than 30mm. The compact Triumph series have a respectable 50° apparent field, which is the amount of degrees your eye would be surrounded by the view within the binocular. More is desireable here, as it makes you feel within the viewing experience itself as that number climbs, even if you cannot possibly peruse all of such a view simultaneously. But the compact Triumphs also have eye relief of 18mm, which in this class of binocular is a truly stellar stat.
