This drive can effectively read DVD-ROM disks having data capacities of up to 8.5 GB (Double layer), and CD-ROM disks having data capacities of up to 795 MB (CD-ROM Mode 2). It provides users with full optical read capability in one device. Featuring an IDE/ATAPI interface, this versatile internal drive delivers data transfer rates of up to 10.8 MBps on DVDs, and up to 3.6 MBps on CDs. With Digital Audio Extraction capability, this drive allows for high-quality video even when discs are scratched or dirty.
